Pace Institute of Karate

| Shihan Michael Pace has been studying and teaching the Martial Arts since 1967. He has studied Judo, Jujutsu and Karate and has participated in various contests and tournaments in forms and sparring. He has owned several Karate studios and currently holds an eighth degree black belt in Goshin-Ryu Karate. He was awarded the "Shihan" (Master) title in April of 1994. His school's have been presented with such renowned awards as the Martial Arts Management School of the Year and Martial Arts Business Information Magazine's Top 200 Schools in North America. He is a member of the MAMNet Martial Arts Hall of Fame and in 2006 inducted into the US Martial Arts Hall of Fame as a "Karate Pioneer". Shihan Pace is the current President of the Goshin-Ryu Karate Association. |

| Sensei Barbara Pace started her instruction in 1994 under Shihan Michael Pace. Almost immediately she began helping with the children's classes at their karate school. By the time she reached her Shodan (1st degree black belt) in 1999 she was already a seasoned instructor. Sensei Pace is the Pace Institute of Karate's Director of Student Services as well as an accomplished instructor. Sensei Pace has proven her skills in kata, sparring and weapons forms in tournaments for many years. |

Sensei Jim Schmick 6th Dan
| Sensei Jim Schmick has been training for over 30 years. He is a seasoned competitor both in forms and in sparring. Sensei Schmick also serves on the Goshin-Ryu Karate Association Boad of Directors. |

Sensei Rega first began his Martial Arts Training back in 1973. He has studied with some of the world's best teachers and continues to do so. Right from the start, Sensei Rega had a passion for training and use to train a number of times each week. His progress through the grades was slow and sure as his instructors approach was concerned with quality of product rather than quantity.

Sensei Ray Pirnat 4th Dan

Sensei Pirnat started training in Goshin-Ryu karate under Shihan Pace in September of 1993. He earned his Shodan rank (1st degree black belt) in June of 1998. He was promoted to the rank of Nidan (2nd degree black belt in August of 2000. Sensei Pirnat has participated in a number of karate competitions in kata and kumite as well as a competitor in full contact karate (kickboxing). He is also a certified instructor for the International F.A.S.T. Defense Association. He is a trained padded assailant instructor for Pace Karate where "bulletmen" take full power strikes to the head and groin wearing special protective equipment. |
